tomorow is Friday!!!!

OK so tomorrow is not Friday, except when someone has Friday off at the clinic we joke about Thursday being Friday for them. Since we are closed at the clinic and there is now school on Friday-tomorrow is Friday!!!!

Darin and I comment frequently about missing Thor. He has been gone 3 1/2 years. I frequently call Shasta, Thor. All our passwords for accounts have some derivative of Thor's name. Even new ones I go with a version of Thor. He was such a wonderful dog. We do admit that he did not start out high on the list of great dogs. He chewed up textbooks, shoes, weight benches and got in the trash any chance he got. He ran away if he could. But, he loved children and he was so loyal. He rather liked being a lap dog and as he got older-you had to lift him up into your lap. Bridger now weighs as much as Thor did for most of his life. Sometimes you don't know what you have until it is gone. I will say for Shasta-nothing means more to him than Bridger and that is the way it should be.

I hope everyone appreciates Darin's attempt to keep the blog up to date. I think he is doing a great job stepping up when I haven't posted anything.
Bridger and I took Aubrey Searle to see the Dragon movie that is now out (cartoon). Bridger had not seen Aubrey since before Kindergarten. I had asked him who he would like to take with us. He said Aubrey. I tracked down her Mom's number and called. We found out tonight that she had already seen it. She said she didn't care. She thought it was good. She also said she wouldn't spoil it for us. They seemed to take right back up with where they left off. She is just as tiny as Sammy, but a complete opposite. She said she wrestles in competitions. Her dad put her and her younger brother in little kid wrestling. She seemed to indicate she likes it. She is just such a little spitfire. I have missed her. Dragon movie was good, by the way.

A Breezy Day

Bridger got home from school and was upset that his basketball hoop had blown over. He went out and stood it back up and then really got upset when he looked outside and saw it was blown over again. I told him he might want to leave it down until the wind calms down and not blowing 40 mph.

We usually have dinner as a family at the table but last night it was a little messy so Ginni asked Bridger if he wanted to eat in the living room or clean the table and eat there. Bridger said, " I want to eat at the table...by myself." He is too young for such independence.

Tonight Ginni is going to take him and a friend to the movies, I think it is the dragon training one. They were going to go tomorrow but the Meline's invited us over for a party to celebrate Shawn's return home.

Everyone be nice tomorrow. Ha.

Bald Bridger

Here are a couple of older pictures of Bridger. The first one is from Ocean Shores and the second was when we were in Denver at the zoo. He is really growing I will have to measure him and update you with his height but his weight is now 75 lbs. He is a solid kid. The bad part is that he still wants us to pick him up and held. The other night he fell asleep in our bed with me and rather than try to pick him up and carry him, Ginni just went and slept in his bed.

We have actually had two weeks without any sports. Hockey and basketball are both finished. The only thing left for hockey is the fundraiser dinner which I am taking Dad to meet Gordie Howe, it should be fun. Baseball should be starting soon. Bridger can not do the Casper city league because you have to be 7 by April 30th, so he misses it by one month and the do not budge.

I hope all is well for everyone reading this blog. We have 40 mph winds so we are just trying to stay standing.

Monday

Bridger and his Mommy.

I believe Ginni had a nice day yesterday. We got up, did presents and had a nice breakfast that Ginni cooked. I offered to help. Ginni and Linnea then went out to have facials and I stayed home with the kids. Then they went to the Fire Rock to have a couple of drinks and appetizers. The Meline's then stayed and had dinner with us which I did do the cooking, lobster and crab.

I played a lot of the 45's that I had bought for Ginni's birthday and Bridger seemed to enjoy dancing to the music.

Now it is just another Monday. We have Friday off this week and are heading to Denver for an Avs game.

Catch you on the flip side.

Happy Birthday to the Mamma Unit

There is a hint in the photo as to which birthday year we ar celebrating today. The records are a clue. Happy Birthday to the one I Love and Happy Birthday to the Mommy I Love. Bridger says, "Happy Birthday Mommy, I Love You."

There are two posts today, read both.

wonderful afternoon

what a wonderful day it was!!! (I change dthe blog-which is what my comment was about from earlier today)

I ordered more windows. Came home had lunch and we then went to see Avatar. We had reservations about a 3hour movie, but what a glorious movie it was. So full of color and action. I can't quite see why the religious sects "outlawed" it, but whatever. We did some errands and hit the library. The elementary schools have an art show going on at the library. Bridger's art is the one with the tilted flower and large pot. Bridger got some movies and I got him some books while we were there.

We ended up going out for dinner. It counts as my birthday dinner. We went to Firerock, which is sort of my favorite place. They have a wonderful bleu cheese wedge salad. I should just always make that my meal, but NO..... They were on fire tonight and even though we were there 2 hours, we were served our dinner in record time. We ordered a bottle of wine and had to sit and finish it after dinner and dessert. Poor (yeah, right!) Darin got served two large beers because they didn't communicate on who served him. And we still had the bottle of wine. They had an interesting banana cream pie. The "piece" was round, but it was Darin's favorite kind-graham cracker crust. It had a white chocolate custard for the filling and carmelized bananas on top. Heaven!

Now we are home. Bridger has watched his Wallace and Grommit movie already. Darin is happy the Wings won and Avalanche do not seem to be doing well against the Coyotes. I am sure all you in Arizona thought about going to the game tonight. HA! Too bad about the Sioux-go figure they get beat by a Yuppie team (YALE).

Tomorrow I am doing a facial with Linnea for my birthday treat. Darin gets the girls and Bridger. He wants to have crab legs tomorrow night, but I doubt he loads everyone up while we are gone to go shop at the grocery store. I would love to see that one.

Things I remember about my birthdays. I was born at 10:50am-Central time. There was a blizzard or at least a snow storm. OK I don't REMEMBER those things, but it is what I have heard. My grandmother always made Angel Food cakes with purple jello frosting for our cakes. My presents were often wrapped in the Sunday funnies (colored paper). I remember my 18th bday present was a large wicker chair. I remember one sad bday(middle school age) that 2 friends came and 3 became a crowd-I was the odd person out. I do remember my 1st grade class making a birthday journal just for me wishing me happy birthday. I think my favorite bday meal would have been fried chicken and mashed potatoes with creamy country gravy. I liked the Angel food cake, but somewhere along the way I got a reputation for liking German Chocolate cake. I always liked my Mom's chocolate cake with PB frosting, too. I have had two surprise bday parties as an adult, age 21 and age 30-ish. Pink eye was a gift for age 40.

If I left an event out of anyone else's memories-don't take it personal.

We are heading to Denver on Good Friday. We will see an AVS game Friday night. We are staying over until Sunday. I thought this would be considered our bday celebrations, but Darin has sort of seen it a different way. It was a wonderful day-OK already said that, but it was.

what do you think?

BE KIND. I have a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve.

post b-day

Lanie was cuddling up to Bridger last night and I captured this one of her sneaking a kiss onto his shoulder. She wasn't after his cake.

Bridger got invited over to his friend Faye's after school. I don't know how he scores with making friends with the doctors' daughters. He had a nice time, but came home wanting his own play kitchen. If there was any chance he would grow-up and be another Emeril-I would go for it.

Bridger's first fish. This was at a fish hatchery in Washington. We had shown up at the last of event time, but they were gracious and let Darin and Bridger fish. Isn't our bald baby just so handsome.

Tonight at the end of dinner we had a little free enterprise and capitalism going on. Bridger wants a video game called Nintendo DSi. I have told him he can not have one until he is 12. He always barters for age 10. So tonight he and I had a discussion about him earning his own money to pay for it all by himself. They cost $160. So he began bartering with chores. He came up with shoveling dog poop all by himself. I told him I was willing to pay him $5 a week just for that. He also accepted $1 more for bringing in the mail. He originally offered to bring in the paper, but when he found out how early he would have to get up he changed his mind. So we got out the calculator and did some math to show him how long it would take. 6 months. He seemed OK with that. He offered to go right out and start on the yard.
He came in and wanted to barter again. He wanted the amount of poop to count for something, not just cleaning the yard every couple of days. He wanted me to go look at how much there was, RIGHT NOW. He became very upset and felt he had done the cleaning for nothing. I agreed to give him 50 cents for tonight's hard work. I question his long term drive. The funniest part was earlier when he suggested I just use my money and he get to keep his. I think he is getting it.

Happy Birthday Darin past and present

Happy Birthday Darin!!!! Sorry you had to blog on your own b-day. This is something of what I was thinking of, but since we got those great pictures tonight, well here we go.....

This is 1993 in Spearfish. Our friend Jacque worked at the bank and we were able to get our birthdays on the bank sign. This was also a first for Darin in that he got to play golf on his birthday. It was a wonderful spring day that year.
This was on Darin's 25th bday. He got a surprise bday party at McDonald's. Vance and I had so much fun making him believe that we wanted to eat at McD's for our birthdays. I could hardly contain myself pulling into the parking lot. McD's went right along and gave us a party person that allowed us adults to play the little kid games. Isn't that the most handsome moustache?

I tried finding the picture from last year at his party of both of us. Maybe it is on the blog from last year around our birthdays. This is tonight's blowing out of the candles. Bridger wanted to use his "2" from his #2 birthday cake. I stopped and got a "4" at the grocery store. Darin got his favorite meal of lasagna. His favorite cake is pistachio, which he also enjoyed tonight.

Bridger remembered about birthday spankings and Darin got his 42 smacks. You can tell he was hamming it up just a bit.

This was photo/blog worthy. Bridger having his SECOND piece of cake. He did his Jampa proud.

March 25th

Bridger was so excited to get to spend the evening with Kayla. I picked him up at about 9:45 pm and he was exhausted. We got home and he said he just wanted to go to bed. He got his pj's on and brushed his teeth and straight to bed. Then he said, "I am so hungry and I don't care if I have to brush my teeth again." He ate a cup of peaches, brushed his teeth and was out.

No big plans for tonight. Ginni invited the Meline's over for dinner and that is about it. The kids at school are having fun, every class has sung to me. I had one class that said lets sing to Mr. Myers today instead of him singing to us. Ginni brought me lunch also. She was going to pick up Bridger and bring him with but was running late. So I will pick him up after school and we can hang out.

The girls play BYU in the NIT tonight. Go Pokes.

Wednesday

These photos are with my cell phone so they are not the greatest. I wanted pictures to put on the blog and it is easy to download at work. The first picture is Bridger trying to show his missing teeth and the second one is him enjoying having his picture taken.

He was funny this morning. Usually it is a struggle to get him going but today Ginni and I were downstairs early and heard him moving around. I got upstairs and he had picked out clothes and was dressed. I asked him why he was up so early and he stated that he wanted more time to play.

The sun is out today and it is suppose to be nice the next few days. The forecast for early next week is showing 60's. Last weekend we made a run to Menards and Bridger said he wanted to go the playscape and I told him it was too cold. He kept arguing with me and I finally realized that he wanted to play at the one they have set up in Menards, oops.

Happy Hump day.

Tuesday, March 23, 2010

It was a nice day yesterday so Bridger had his scooter and skate board out on the front porch. Today it is 30 and snowing. It is suppose to quite by noon, but is still coming down strong right now. Bridger lost another tooth, a bottom one. It was very loose and he wanted Ginni to pull it out, so she did. It was a fiasco though with him carrying on. I think it took them 15 minutes before she finally got it out.

Tomorrow Ginni has a girls night out. They are going to dinner and then to a Broadway musical, Hairspray. Uncle Chase is probably familiar with it since he likes those girly things. Bridger and the Meline girls get to hang out with Kayla. I will pick him up after Fire training. We are still trying to decide if we are going to do anything this weekend to celebrate our birthdays.

Until next time, keep on keepin' on.

Sioux win conference championship (hockey)

So there is a lot of hooting and hollering for the Sioux going on tonight in this house. I am a tad premature on the title, but it seems in the bag as I type....UND won!!! Did you get to see the game Grandpa Roger?

So we have mentioned the snowshoeing like it was something big all week. And we finally did it. Darin decided at the last minute he was healed enough to go. He admitted he is tired of watching Bridger and I from the sidelines. I am glad he went. It was a struggle enough with Bridger for both of us. Bridger is insisting yet tonight that he is never going snowshoeing AGAIN.

The Verda James PE teacher provided the snowshoes and we had to pay for a day pass(Darin and I). I can only imagine what snowshoe rental would be downtown. It was a bright day and temps were in the high 20's. There was wind, but you weren't aware of it until you looked at the tree tops. This was one of those activities for the VJ PE club-like the skiing.
Showing off our snowshoes.

There was quite a bit of this today (falling). I kept telling Bridger he was wasting all his energy with falling down and then having to get up. Yes, he actually is face down in the snow. He and Darin did crawl up on a large pile of stacked wood. How they did it-I don't know. I had gone ahead enjoying my striding. I thought I had lost them until I finally saw a head pop-up over the log pile 100 yards back of me. I thorougly enjoyed myself and would very much like to go back again sometime. They light part of the course for night X-country skiing. We could snowshoe off the ski tracks. Darin did great without any knee problems. I know he is happy he did it.

Bridger did score two points in the basketball game. They played full court and kept score. The kids couldn't keep their eyes off the time clock. One of our players kept trying to make the last second scoreat the end of a quarter. Bridger's team did win by 10 points. I know he enjoyed himself. He played against another hockey player's team. We were friendly with that family last year during hockey. It came up in the conversations they were going to Denver over Easter also. They have Rockies tickets and AVS tickets. We might see about going to a Rockies game also. Kind of want to wait and see how cold it will be that weekend.

Sat am

From this....

to this.....

Our snowstorm didn't give us as much snow as predicted, at least here in town. Up on the mountain might be different. It was a good spring snowstorm-lots of wetness to it. From what I listened to on the radio, western WY got it worse. I am pretty sure I heard South Pass was closed yesterday. I think I-80 was also. Rollie probably has checked all that out and knows if I am even close on my information.

Bridge invited Sammy over yesterday after school. She has the same Zhu-Zhu pet as Bridger. He wanted to see hers. The girls also had not seen the ants and since it was their present to him it seemed important to share. Darin offered to pick up Lanie at daycare. He did and then they walked up to get Bridger and Sammy. Lanie has had special feelings for Darin ever since Shawn left. FYI-Shawn is supposed to be returning home around Easter. The Meline females can hardly wait.

We all went out to dinner at Sully's (aka Karen and Jim's). The atmosphere is movie themed. There is a life size Sully (Monsters, Inc) and the kids have chosen instead to call the restaurant-Sully's. There is also movie posters on the ceilings, walls and individual pictures of movie stars. There is memorabilia on shelves. Darin usually plays I-spy with them and then they, of course, try to find what he is looking at. They have favorites that Darin can't fool them with anymore-they know right where they are. They have gotten to where they just play it with themselves. At the end of the meal there is always a mad scramble to go look at the fish tank. They noticed the water seemed a bit off color-almost green. I never thought to ask if they did turn the water green. It wasn't a color you see when it needs cleaned, either. We got home and Darin suggested a movie. The adults had about 1/2 hour to ourselves before the kids started wandering in. It wasn't really a child's movie. At the end we all grabbed a kid and covered eyes. Darin got Bridger- I have my suspicions. I will have to check when I have him alone and determine if he did indeed miss out.

Count down to birthdays. I was going to say what I thought I might do for Darin, but HMMM-he reads this. Not too smart to do it that in this case. I have to wait a week until I can get a new DVD released movie I want. Oh well-I pray for patience and maybe the prayers will serve me well.

We do have tickets on Good Friday for an AVS game. We will drive down on Friday, weather permitting to attend the game. We will stay over until Sunday. I found a downtown hotel that is offering a special rate and celebrating Easter in style. On Sat afternoon they will do an Easter egg hunt, an Easter movie and every child gets a treat upon check-in. Then Sunday we can enjoy the Easter buffet as part of our rate. We will head back Sunday afternoon-weather permitting.

We have a basketball in an hour and then the snowshoeing. Better get everyone lined out.

snow again

I always loved this picture. Bridger was just getting teeth and he got a whole bunch of them at once. Sort of like his losing them now. He still has 3 teeth all wiggley just waiting to come out.
Snowstorm started around 3:30 this afternoon. This would be right when school would be getting out. I thought of Bridger and his too light of coat he had. Igot home after work and found him outside with hiking boots, no snowpants, but mittens, stocking hat and snow goggles on. He wasn't very happy when I suggested he come in to re-dress. He ended up in a time-out of all things.

I had ran by the store after work to find something for dinner. I found some halibut steaks 50% off and some dip to make for stuffing (in the halibut). It was rather yummy as Judi would say. Bridger got to have dino nuggets, his choice. After dinner we did the hot tub with the snow falling down around us. It made you hurry back into the house for sure.

We are just so exciting aren't we?

quiet evening

Bridger's first St Pat's day. Green formula.

Bridger did have some luck as he did score one basket tonight. He looked right up at us with a big smile on his face.

He and I came home from the basketball game and Darin went off to fire meeting. We went for a walk/scooter ride to the "purple" park. When we got back we made cookies and started watching a Harry Potter movie. Bridger is still watching and I will have to be the bad person and turn it off here very soon.

Bridger's teacher will go in for brain surgery tomorrow and be out a few more weeks. She already had one go around and then had complications in healing. I hope it goes well for her and she gets back soon. Bridger had been doing a bit better from his reading tutoring, which she was doing. Guess it is back on us for awhile.

No big plans for the weekend. Darin mentioned snowshoeing when he blogged. We are supposed to have a snowstorm tomorrow night and into Friday. It will put more snow on the mountain for us!!! Darin and I can't decide how to celebrate our birthdays. I suggested just forgetting about it, but Darin had other ideas that didn't pan out exactly as he hoped. If anyone has an idea about a wonderful present for him let me know!

team photo

I scanned in the photo of Bridger's team.
We had our St Paddy's meal last night. Darin has fire dept meeting tonight and Bridger has his bball game at 5:30pm It doesn't leave much time to indulge in corned beef. Bridger wasn't impressed with cabbage. He does like the corned beef. I was illy prepared for doing the dinner last night. I discovered the "eyes" of March had taken over our potatoes. I didn't bother with soda bread-ran out of time. No irish whiskey or green beer, either. GEEZ-why did we bother. HA!
Bridger will have three different greens on today. Socks included. Maybe I will have him wear the socks for his game tonight. It might bring him luck!!! Happy St Patrick's Day!!!

Tuesday

I tried to get Bridger's basketball team pictures loaded but they were all blurry. So I am using an old picture from spring training. Bridger and Ginni really enjoyed this icy. I had to help Bridger build a leprechaun trap for school. He is so proud that he knows they don't exist. I am afraid he is going to start telling the other kids the truth. We only have two more days of basketball, Wednesday and Saturday and then the season is over. Bridger is not real aggressive but seems to enjoy playing ball. The temperatures will be in the 60's the next couple of days and then in the 30's and snow. Just in time for Bridger's PE club snowshoe activity up on the mountain. Ginni is going to participate with him but I will not due to my knee. All is well in the world that revolves around Bridger, Happy Tuesday.

Bridger in Bridger

We had a nice breakfast at the Irma before we checked out. It was a nice drive up to Billings and we got here around 1pm. We went right to the sports stores Darin wanted to go to. We did find Bridger some ski poles. More than likely he won't get to use them until next year at this point.
We found our motel and Bridger was in the pool in record time. The other pool patrons ran me out of there much sooner than Bridger wanted to go. It is a small area and the some kids were splashing too much. My book actually got wet. There was also a small NOISY child. I went shopping by myself for awhile. We then went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was also NOISY and packed. We had a nice dinner though. We are back at our room letting Bridger enjoy a Star Wars movie. We head home tomorrow.

Cody in Cody

My oh my hasn't our little boy grown? The toilet picture with the boots was from 8/07 and the little guy in shorts in front of the buffalo was in 9/06. We decided the water tank of the toilet was not as high in the newest picture.

We arrived in Cody and went directly to Buffalo Bill Museum. Bridger exclaimed several times he liked this place better than the one on the hill (Trails Museum in Casper). However after the first hour I don't think he thought the same thing. He was getting a bit tired. I would find him ahead of me lying on the floor. I would just step over him. He did like the Natural History part of the museum. There was a stamp book for him to complete and the exhibits were more hands on. Oddly enough when he thought it was so great-he was in the Plains Indian Museum. The part that got him was the 1500 guns we walked through. The only thing that got him through without a revolt was the shooting game at the end.

As Bridger and I entered the Buffalo Bill memorabilia part Darin came smirking out and mumbled something I couldn't hear. I noticed some people coming up on the other side of the stage coach dividing the walk way. Darin again said something I didn't understand, then I heard what he was smirking about. The TWINS were in the museum with their Mom. I froze on my side of the stage coach. I grabbed Bridger's hand and he figured it out just about then also. Darin was silently laughing at my astonishment. We let Bridger go and he tried to say hi to them, but I don't think they truly recognized them. He came back somewhat downcast that they didn't speak to him. We tried to explain they probably really didn't recognize him-he would be out of where they knew him to be. He didn't get it.

We checked into our Irma Hotel room. It is a very nice room. We have a sitting area and 2 queen beds in the sleeping area. The flat screen TV looks out of place in the antique filled room. There are 12 foot walls and in the sitting area there is an amazing skylight. We think we might be above the bar-there isn't noise, but our room seems smokey. There is no smoking in the rooms. We went to one of Darin's most favorite steak houses-Proud Cut for dinner. We had to sit in the back as children are not allowed at the tables in the bar area. No big deal. Bridger agreed to Rocky Mtn Oysters again. He referenced them to "nuts". So after they arrived at the table and a few had been eaten, he remarked, "when are my nuts going to get here?" He said it a couple more times and I finally asked if he meant nuts-like peanuts. He said yes. OOPS!!!

We are back in the room watching westerns. What better place to watch westerns is there than Cody, WY. At least I have a book.

This is to show Cody-Dena in Cody, Wyoming.

Male Bonding

Bridger has been very excited to get to help me with projects around the house. Last night we stayed up until midnight putting together the outdoor heater. He wanted to hot tub when we got done until I told him to look at the clock. He said, "it is way past my bed time." In the second picture he is helping me stack the wood pellets in the garage. Today we went skating with the Willis'. Bridger stopped to help Haley who was skating for the first time. There was another boy from hockey there and they had a blast skating around. It eventually ended up where they were chasing Kevin Willis (the dad) and throwing their hockey gloves at him. The last picture is a reminder not to leave a 6 year old all alone with a nail gun during a remodeling project. (For the PETA people, no stuffed animals were injured during this project.) We are heading north in the morning. Tomorrow we will stay in Cody and go to the museum and then up to Billings. It is suppose to be 62 in billings this weekend, shorts weather. Of course Bridger has been wearing shorts when it is 45 because it is soooooo hot out. Catch you at the next posting.

First Time Blogger

This is what we were doing last year for spring break. Not as exciting this year. Today Bridger went bowling with the Willis girls and then over to play with Gage. I took him to Menards to get wood pellets before bowling and he insisted that he load them. He was struggling with the 40 lb bags but got them on the cart. The clerks kept looking at us and one asked if we need help. I said no he doing fine. " I usually make my wife do this but she is not here." (That was a joke no hate mail please.) Another story from Rapid City. I ordered some Rocky Mountain Oysters when we went out for lunch and they were filleted and looked like chips, so I asked Bridger if he wanted a chip and he said yes. He bit into it and said, "this is not a chip." I said no, and he stated that he liked it anyway. I waited until we got back to the hotel to tell him what he ate. The look on his face pure disgust but he said he liked it still. I told him Jampa does not eat them. I thought I would try to help Ginni with the blog today. If I do not get to many negative comments I may help more often for you view pleasure. Happy Wednesday.

he did it again

The team.
After the tournament, Faye, Barrett, Bridger and Darin

Barrett and Bridger after the last game in the locker room. Doesn't she look kicked back?

We really wondered if Bridger could pull it off again today and he did. Another hat trick!
It was quite an evening for us all last night. Bridger went down to the other coach's room and played video games with he and his son. Bridger also "tubed" with Faye and then did the arcade with Faye and Barrett. He came and asked me if he could go with them. I said, "you don't have any money, it will be boring." He told me he didn't have to worry about it Barrett would pay for him. I thought oh brother. So the little mooch, mooched off the girls, scored a bunch of tickets and then wouldn't share with them. They didn't care!!!!!! I stood there horrified at his behavior. There was no convincing him. They turned around and even bought him something with their winnings. Darin says he has it made. So this morning before we left he and I went down to completely spend his winning tickets. I suggested he pick something for them. He did and was able to give it to them at the last game. Darin and I enjoyed ourselves between visiting with other parents and riding the tubes together.
Bridger did awesome today. The team they played kept laying down in front of the net to block the puck. It was pretty frustrating to watch. The coach finally got them to quit doing it. Bridger finally got one in, then his other two. He really worked to set up his team mates and made some nice passes. He did well enough that some parents even complimented Darin on Bridger's sportsmanship. You can only imagine how that made Darin feel.
We got lunch at Fuddruckers and then headed home. They have all this next week off for Spring Break. We decided to head to Billings this next weekend. Just for fun.

hat trick X 2

What a wonderful day for Bridger. His first game was at 11am. He scored his first hat trick and then returned for his second game at 4pm and did it again. He scored two points in his first 3 minutes. Then he and Barrett became this dynamic duo scoring and assisting each other. After he got his second hat trick he tried really hard to just assist other team mates. Darin said he even got after Barrett to quit trying to score and help others score also. It was good to see him try to be more of a team mate than an individual. Barrett got a hat trick also. One other team mate made hat trick status also. If one were keeping score, I think the other team actually beat us. They must have been worried at first, though, when Bridger came out and scored back to back.

We went out to lunch with the other guy that coached with Darin and his son. We invited Barrett with us. We found a brew pub downtown. The kids got mac and cheese and the adults had a beer. The 3 hours we had went fast. We tried out the arcade when we got back. Twice I won Bridger a 100 tickets. He didn't get to spend them yet. He is going back for more with Darin and collect his prize. He doesn't even want to swim-just do the arcade.

Toilet bowl and winter in SD

We were able to leave around 2:30pm yesterday. We made pretty good time. We ran into intense fog at Sundance and it had gotten dark. The roads were only wet, thank goodness. Bridger was keeping track of how far and how long pretty good. There wasn't any-are we there yets, but close.

Barrett finally got to the water park. Bridger found her climbing on the traversing rope. They went back and forth several times. I once noticed him hanging upside (from his feet) staring back at her. I wish I could have gotten that one with the camera. Instead I got the one of him attempting to help her. He didn't hang on and moments after the pic she fell in. She is more into the arcade and this has caused some frustrating moments between us and our child. We are not encouraging the arcade.

Bridger and Darin enjoyed the "super bowl" ride together many times. After last year's failed attempts of a picture. I took Judi's suggestion of trying to video it. They are not clear, but I promise it is Bridger and Darin. Bridger calls it the toilet bowl.

It snowed over night and looks miserable outside. yeah! It is still winter (sarcasm). It will be good to have the water park again tonight.
