Playing for the Championship

Pre-game break.
Ready to play.
In the locker room.
Strapping on the gear.
Pre-game talk.

We won a nail bitter tonight.  We played the #1 seed team.  It went into a shoot out and we came out on top.  Bridger had another solid performance at the blue line.  If we win tomorrow we are headed to Canada for the international championship.

Ginni and I had a nice day.  Our special dinner was at Dave and Busters watching Bridger play games.  Not romantic but we were together.

23

A couple of years ago with my "Babe".
Bridger going into the boards, #28.
Fighting for the puck.
Clearing the zone.
Moving the puck.
Waiting for the puck to pop out.
Celebrating at the crab shack.

Happy Anniversary to my child's mother.  We won both games today which put us back in the top tier.  The last seed game is at 12:15 tomorrow so now it is a waiting game to see if we make it into the bracket play.  Bridger once again played great defense.  It has been a nice weekend with good friends.

Enjoy your weekend.

Finally Got a Win

Listening to the pregame talk.
Being silly.  The have bouncy balls in their jackets.
Our hotel has an indoor/outdoor pool.  Is it late November?

We had an early morning game and won 7 - 3.  Bridger once again had a solid game at defense.  We now have 3 points in the standings so we are still in the hunt if we get a win this evening.  Bridger is having a blast with the other kids.  Swimming, hall hockey (the hotel love this) and just being boys which includes farting in the locker room.

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving

Bridger found my penguin tie.
Walking the tunnel to the locker room.
Bridger started the first game of the tournament, he was a bit nervous.

We are currently 0-1-1 in the tournament (Dad will explain Mom).  Bridger is playing very well.  He is a solid defenseman.  He scored his first goal today!!  He caught the puck and the blue line and let it rip.  It found the back of the net.  I was taking care of an injured player and looked out on the ice to see the team at the blue line hugging Bridger.  I was informed that he just made a goal.  It is his first goal as a Pee Wee.

We have reservations at 3pm for a Thanksgiving buffet back at the ice arena's restaurant.  It is not at home with all of the smells filling the house but it is with family, which I am thankful for.

"What kind of Thanksgiving dinner is this? Where's the turkey, Chuck?"

CPR

Good Morning.
Bridger helping out at the fire department a couple of years ago.
He took my class last night and this was his evaluation.

I had a CPR class last night and Bridger wanted to take it.  It was for a security company so he was there with all adults.  He did great and understood the material.  He is so excited to get his card.  He has asked me about 5 times when I will get his card.  He then asked me if he should carry it with him at school so they know he can help out if there is an emergency.  Our future firefighter.

We head to Colorado in the morning for hockey.  I hope everyone has safe travels over the holiday.

Sharp Dressed Man

Bridger ready for Sundays game.
Rockin the Hulk belt.
Faceoff.  He is the right defenseman.  Ginni is up above him.

Bridger had another good game.  He only had a couple of pucks that slipped past him but he picked them back up before they got to the center line.  He had some great shots on goal but could not get any to find the back of the net.  He almost had a goal from his goal line.  It traveled the full length of the ice and the goalie missed it.  I think it might have been in but the refs did not call it since we were up 15 - 0.

Bridger is enjoying getting dressed up.  He likes wearing the vests that Ginni got him.  We are heading to Denver Wednesday for a tournament.  Happy Monday.

Hockey Season

Bridger Ready to take the ice.
Holding the blue line.
Making a nice save.

Celebrating the win with the Meline's.

We won our first game of the season 22 - 0 against Cheyenne.  Bridger had a great game.  He played the blue line tough.  He kept a lot of plays alive in our zone.  The Meline's came to watch him play.  We went to Applebee's after the game.  Bridger is still dressed from the game.  This year they are to wear ties to the game, Bridger wanted to add the vest.

It is a very windy weekend here.

Honor Roll

Bridger made the first quarter honor roll.  He was very excited to achieve this.  He was not very excited to get his picture taken.  We are very proud of him.  He works very hard and it pays off.

We have our first hockey games this weekend.  We play Cheyenne.  It is a conference game.  Bridger is ready to go and has had no problems with his hand.  He will be second line defense.

I hope everyone is having a nice week.

State Champs, Again

Bridger brought a hockey friend with him to the game.
The boys celebrating after the game.  -2 degrees,  -14 with windchill.
Before the game.
This was in the Sunday paper.
The sky box seats.

It was a cold game in Laramie.  The team played great and deserved the win.  It was a nice finish to another undefeated season.  Ginni and Bridger had a nice time and were thankful that they had seats inside.  They sat behind two Gillette fans (women) and Bridger managed to throw popcorn in their hair.  I rode home with Ginni and made it back about 2 hours before the team.  It will be nice to go home after school.

Happy Monday.

"Gentlemen. It's been an honor to share the field of battle with you."

Advent Calendar

Bridger with his calendar.
Bridger being silly with his calendar.
Ok, now he is his Mother's son.

Bridger asks every year for an advent calendar and I have not been able to find them the past couple of years.  I got to school on Monday and one of the staff was selling them for their child.  She told me to take one and pay her later.  When I returned 45 minutes later to pay she had sold all of hers plus another persons supply.  I am glad I got one when I did.

It is cold here.  We actually made the national news with -26.  We practice outside again last night.  At the end of practice it was -6 actual temp and -19 with windchill.  Bridger and Ginni went to a show at the event center and were not excited to walk to the truck after the show in -21 temperatures.

Brrrrr.

"Harry, your hands are freezing! "

Veteran's Day

Bridger is always excited to get to place the flag.  It was 4 degrees and that is the footwear he chose.
It was sub zero last night so he played with hot water.  I was able to catch the frozen water pretty good in this shot.
Shasta is enjoying the cold weather since he gets to stay inside.

We have had a bit of a cold snap here.  The high today is predicted to be 6 and tomorrow 7 degrees.  It will be a cold couple of days of practice.  I went to Menards this morning and bought all of their hand warmers.  I paid with a voucher and they still gave me a receipt with the 11% back which I did keep.

Bridger got cleared yesterday for his hand.  He was full practice last night.  He looked good and said his hand held up.  We were suppose to have a tournament this weekend but it got cancelled.  Ginni and Bridger are now heading to Laramie for the game.  It is suppose to be in the 20's with a 60% chance of snow so Ginni got tickets in the Wildcatter box.

Stay warm.

PALS

Bridger and some of his DM friends out trick or treating.
Bridger's football team after they lost in the semi final game.
Bridger and his best Pal.

Bridger had a fun Halloween.  He went as a baseball player for trick or treating because they also went to a haunted corn maze and he did not want to get his nice clothes dirty.  He had fun running around with some friends.

I cut one of my old hockey gloves so it would fit over Bridger cast.  He skated Monday and enjoyed being back out on the ice.  He did ok until he got aggressive on defense and his stick got smacked.  His hand hurt a bit but he is alright.

I hope everyone is having a nice week.

Halloween Party

Ginni and I.
Son and Mommy.
Bridger getting his groove on.

Ginni and I had double parties on Saturday.  We had the fireman's ball and a costume birthday party.  We dropped Bridger off at the birthday party and then went to the ball.  We had dinner and hung out for a while and then met up with Bridger at the costume party.  I made it easy and wore my tux to the ball and then just went as 007 for the costume party.  Ginni switched outfits for the two parties.  Bridger went as an old time gangster.

We had a nice time but were tired on Sunday.  We did get some yardwork done though.  Leaves, leaves and more leaves.  I hope everyone had a nice start to November.
