Today was the last day of Bridger's Jump Start program. We called it summer school to make it easier to say. The focus was to keep kids at the same level they left the previous grade. You can imagine he has not been happy having his summer days interrupted over the last 2 1/2 weeks.
He brought home this paper today that I spied before Darin. I thought maybe I could share this with everyone and make Darin proud. Doesn't every father want to be thought of as a hero by his son? It was interesting to see Bridger's other thoughts. Bridger also brought home a t-shirt that he designed the back's art work. I imagine it can make the blog another day. Bridger had lots of comments from school to share with us over the duration. It is obvious some kids get to watch TV shows that are way above their heads. Bridger shared with us that two of the three 4th grade teachers "fought" over him if he didn't want to stay in the 4th grade teacher's class he has been assigned.
He went on some field trips. Their focus was to cost analyze at the grocery store for items to make a pizza at home versus what the cost was to eat out pizza at Old Chicago. They went to Sam's Club, Safeway and then Old Chicago to make their own pizzas and eat them. Bridger says Old Chicago proved less expensive. They also went to the newspaper office. I asked what he learned, remembered, liked from the Star (paper). He told me the person showing them around was pregnant. HMMMM!
Here is the quote in honor of Darin's tradition. It is from something on his paper above.
"I'm not stupid, I know everyone thinks I am, I just don't like answering stupid questions."
Bridger Myers was born May 30, 2003 to Darin and Ginni Myers. He has been a busy little guy for a number of years and plans to continue his busy-ness.

Golf and Water
Bridger getting ready for his Clubhouse championship.
Bridger did not care much for having to walk. He drove this green.
Last week we played a round late. We had to dodge sprinklers.
After golf the girl twins came over to play.
It eventually lead into a water fight with the other twins.
They snuck up and got them over the fence.
The kids had the right idea today with as hot as it got. They played outside for about 3 hours. I had to go stop the water fight when I noticed my water meter looking like a airplane propeller.
Bridger did pretty good today at golf. He plays like me, makes a beautiful shot and then messes it up with chipping and putting. I do not know how he ended up overall. He did beat the other two kids in his group.
As you can tell I am still home and not at camp with the seniors. I hope everyone is doing well.

Independence Rock

Bridger and Daddy.
Being silly.

Flying up the rock.
Bridger and Mommy.
I cannot believe that July is almost over. I do not know where the month went. We have been keeping busy with golf, swimming and other activities. It was in the 80's at the beginning of the week and it felt nice. Yesterday it was back to 97. The poor garden is not doing so well.
We went to a BBQ last night at our friends house that got married in Jackson. They were still talking about Bridger's dancing. We missed the opening ceremony for the Olympics, oh well. I got up this morning to watch and all that was on was soccer, cycling and tennis. Really exciting.
I hope that everyone has a great weekend. Stop by and say hi if you are in town.
An Olympics movie.

Windows
My help decided to take a nap.
Later he drug a lawn chain up so he would be more comfortable.
But the windows still got installed.
Today we decided to golf.
95 degrees, Bridger was trying to find shade.
After a full day of work yesterday we decided to take a break. We were going to go golfing and boating but only got the golfing in. We managed to lose a few balls between us. We had to turn off the cell phone as Bridger was spending more time texting with his cousins than golfing.
Another weekend gone. I hope that everyone enjoyed it.

Awards Night
Bridger with his team.
Bridger with his AL pennant trophy.
Bridger with both trophies. The Cutthroats in the background.
A close up of his awards.
We got to the ballpark early for Bridger's awards night. He met up with his team and headed out on the field for his first award. A storm was coming in so they did all of the awards before the game instead of between innings. It made it nice for us since we were able to get back home early.
FYI to everyone, if you get a call from our home number it is Bridger. We decided to get rid of our land line and were able to transfer the number to a cell phone. (Bridger's) It is not fully in effect yet and he can only call out except for text. I think he has been texting with Skylin for an hour now. I guess it is educational since he has to spell and use a keyboard.
Another hot day. We replaced two second story windows. Ginni did not knock me off of the roof so it was a successful project.
Stay cool.

More Pinedale Pics
Bridger and Jampa in the Ramble.
Shara and Ginni left us to have girl time.
I got out the 410 for Bridger to try.
He really enjoyed shooting.
I got a new "Traditional" helmet in and Bridger wanted to try it on. I think it fits him.
It has been very hot here, pushing 100 every day. It is pretty hard to get motivated to do anything outdoors. Ginni got home from work last night and we headed to the lake to eat and boat. It was still 93 degrees at 7 pm.
We are actually in town this weekend. Bridger has baseball awards at Casper Cutthroats game on Saturday night. It used to be our minor league team but is now part of a college summer league. Bridger's team gets two trophies. First place for the regular season and second for tournament.
Hey everyone it is Friday.

Mort goes for a ride
Bridger wanted to take his air rocket that Grandpa Roger got him to Pinedale.
Securing the passenger. I think the person that gave the gift has part ownership in the prank.
The prankster. Very proud of his idea. All of the other grand kids jumped right in and helped him find Mort.
We had a good time in Pinedale this weekend. Bridger got to play with his cousins. He also got to do a lot of shooting. Mainly with his bb gun. It was nice to see everyone. For the record this prank was all Bridger's idea, I had no influence. I just helped with the execution.
I hope everyone is doing well.

Golf and More
Bridger walking up to his next shot.
Don't think about the sand right in front of you.
Bridger and Sammy taking a break at the fair.
I think he has such a big smile because he is not working.
When I was at fire on Monday Ginni and Bridger went for an evening golf. Bridger has really enjoyed golfing this summer. He is getting pretty good. I take him out and play 9 holes every day after his lessons.
In answer to yesterday's question, yes they had to put down two horses. One due to injuries and the other because of its mental status. You can read about it online at the Casper tribune. At the parade a group of women came up to us and asked if we knew were their float was. We headed them in the right direction. After they left Bridger said, "See Dad, everyone thinks firefighters know everything." The weird part is they were the ones in the accident.
It is hot here again today. The garden seems to be surviving though. I will get some pictures.
Keep hydrated.

Wednesday
Bridger's Uncle Tom is running with the bulls in Spain. I think this is him.
Before.
After.
Hockey camp. I don't know why it turned on me.
Another fair photo. This is the big ride. The girl offered to ride with him.
Not a lot happening here today. Bridger started summer school today. We will try to do something for the afternoon when he gets out. It will be hot so maybe something with water.
We got an email from hockey camp offering a refund but we just asked for the camp photo. They should just donate the money to the Waldo fire families. We had a bad accident here yesterday while I was on the fire. I kept hearing something about horses. A car ran into the Trails Interpretive Center wagon at a high speed when it was going back after the parade. It seems like every year no matter the precautions taken something happens.
We are getting ready to head to Pinedale for the weekend. I hope we have good weather. I might try to take Bridger fishing while we are there.
I hope everyone is doing well.

Parade & Fair
This was Bridger and Sammy's second ride. They are upside down in one of those cars.
This was a huge ride that Bridger did alone. His are the little legs next to the girls legs on the right.
Bridger getting his gun ready for the parade.
Bridger was a little wet after the parade.
There was a big water fight after the parade and Bridger joined in.
Us in the parade. Bridger is in sunglasses above the light bar.
Bridger and I had a busy day. We got up early and headed to the fire department to get ready for the parade. Bridger had a blast and saw a lot of his friend on the parade route. After the water fight at the station we got toned out for a dumpster fire. Bridger got to watch us work. I had 3 new guys so I gave them the nozzle and instructed them how to attack the fire. They were pretty excited since it was their first fire. Bridger enjoys being a part of the fire department and the chief even told him that he had seniority over the other firefighters.
After sweating at the parade and in bunker gear at the fire I took Bridger and Sammy to the fair. They had a blast. I didn't even ride any rides I just escorted them around. After about 2 hours we needed to get some fluids in us. It was 3 dollars for a bottle of water on the midway so I walked them over to the local booths were it was only a dollar. After some drinks we were back on the rides.
It was a good day. Ginni is at golf lessons right now. It is dark and I can hear thunder. She may be home early.
I hope everyone is doing well.
"You're kidding me huh. Satch? He was always crazy about you ever since you were born. You're still my little chief, right?"

Steamboat
Bridger at art in the park.
Bridger running from a bear.
Things are going good here in Steamboat. We are at the library on the computers. I got one room done. It was a big project. I had to replace the joist and sub flooring and then laid hardwood. It looks good. We have been taking time each day to work and then also play. It has been raining every evening so it has put a damper on some stuff.
My time is running out. I just wanted to post a couple of pictures from my phone and say hi.
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Happy 4th
Please don't play with these,
and start this
so my daddy doesn't have to wear this and can spend the day with me.
I hope that everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July.
