Ski Day

If a man is lucky God blesses him with two important women.
One that raises him,
and one that raises his child.  I am blessed.

Bridger getting ready to hit the slopes.
Taking a break from skiing.  He thinks he is cool sitting in the drivers seat.

We had an open weekend from hockey.  Ginni had to work WBI so Bridger and I made it up on the mountain to ski.  It was a beautiful day.  About 38 degrees and no wind.  Bridger has an overnight birthday party for a friend so Ginni and I are going to have an adult night with the Meline's.  I am on duty tomorrow, Ginni is working at the crazy house and we really do not care about the teams in the super bowl so it will be just another evening at home.

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Pinedale Photos

 Fremont.
 Bonneville.
This was Bridger in Pinedale last year.

These are some pictures from Pinedale.  There is quite a bit of snow up high.  It is raining here in Casper today.  I hope it is cold enough to be snowing on the mountain.  The rain would ruin the ski hill.  Bridger and I are planning on going this weekend.  We have another open weekend.  We have about a month of hockey left.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

Hockey Weekend

A history lesson on the way.
On top of the rock.  Of course being boys they had to pee on the top.
Bridger broke his stick in the first game fighting for the puck.
A view from the front porch of the Pinedale house.

It was a traveling weekend.  We had the Rock Springs / Pinedale swing.  We ended up 2-1-1.  We played good against Rock Springs but not so good against Pinedale.  The boys had a good time.  Bridger had a good weekend, made some errors but overall played a very solid defensive game.  He found his moves and was juking the other players moving the puck up the ice.  It was fun to watch him advance his game to the next level.

I hope all is going well.

Mid Week Blog

Bridger was a bit disappointed with the game.
Coming off the magic carpet.
Bridger snowboarded for about an hour more after we were done skiing.
Enjoying a soak after a good day of skiing.
Bridger and Ginni on the plane.
This is when we landed in NY.

It is a short week for us.  We had Monday off and head to Rock Springs on Friday for hockey.  Bridger is back into tennis also.  He had lessons last night and played really good.  One of the high school girls even complimented him after practice.  Happy hump day.

Enjoying Winter

Can you tell the wind is blowing.
Bridger shredding up the slopes.
Today Bridger wanted to try snowboarding.  Can you find him?
This is his favorite snack at the lodge, chicken strips and cheesy fries.
Enjoying the day.

Bridger and I headed up to the mountain again today.  He wanted to try snowboarding so he took lessons in the morning.  I skied by myself for two hours while he was at his lessons.  Since I was alone people would ride up with me on the chairlift.  One lady rode up with me and proceeded to ask me if I had thought about doing the senior Olympics, WHAT?, did she just ask me that.  Bridger is still laughing about it.  Other than that we had a couple of good skiing days.

More Pics

Playing with the funny mirror.
The American Falls.
There was a T-rex.
Ginni with the boys with the falls lit up.
They had a festival of lives.
This was Buffalo when we were trying to leave.

Here are some more pictures from up north.  It is Friday heading into a three day weekend, Yea!  I think Bridger and I will try to make it up on the mountain for some skiing.  I am hoping the winds will calm down a little.  I hope everyone had a good week.

More Canada Pictures, Eh.

Getting ready in the locker room.
Bridger at the falls.
Fireworks show over the falls.
Bridger at the hall of fame.

Here are a few more pictures from the trip.  Bridger got caught up on sleep yesterday.  It was nice to get home and not have anything in the evening.  We relaxed and went to bed early.  Friday is the last day of the semester.  Bridger almost has his first semester of Junior high done.

Back in the US

We lost in the semis.  This barn was built in 1939.
A view of the falls from the Ferris wheel.
Ginni & Bridger on the ferris wheel.
Me and my boy.
Bridger at the hockey hall of fame.

We made it home early this morning.  Ginni and I are both exhausted.  We let Bridger take the day off so he could sleep in and get caught up with his homework.  Between the flight delays and time change it was a long day yesterday.  We actually have a three day weekend and not traveling coming up.  We did have a fun time in Canada.

Hockey

Bridger being goofy before the game.
I can't get a picture without the mouthpiece.
Warming up.
Out big boy coming down the ice.

We had the make up game in Gillette yesterday.  The roads were a lot better.  Bridger had two great defensive games.  The head coach told him between one of his shifts that he is fun to watch.  Bridger has a great sense of were his players are and makes some impressive passes.  We are still undefeated in WAHL play.  Next up, Canada.

"Yeah, Chuck Norris for the defense, eh?"

Too Much Traveling

Bridger ringing in the new year.
There was plenty to eat in ND.
Bridger getting some homework done,  make up for when we are in Canada.
We hit 100,000 in ND same as the old international, I think.
son.
This is what we paid in Beulah.

We had good roads on the way home until Gillette to Casper.  We got up early this morning to head back to Gillette for hockey.  The roads were no unnecessary travel but they would not cancel the game.  We along with most of our team got turned back when the road north of Midwest was closed because of a head on collision, suv vs. semi.  I had my fire radio and was listening.  I continued up to the wreck to see if they needed more medical.  I was glad it was not one of our families.  We made it back to Casper about mid morning.  Ginni was not with us so just got updates via text.

I am happy to be home with my son, watching hockey movies.
