I was able to get Bridger a game worn jersey.
Uh, a soon to be teenager.
It was a beautiful day for the blue gold scrimmage.
The gold dome.
Touching the famous sign before going on the field.
We made a stop by Wrigley, making Ginni and Bridger jealous.
Uncle Ellery and I took a drive to Howe.
I had a great trip to Indiana. The clinic was one of the best that I have been to. But it is great to be back home. Bridger is enjoying track. He had his first meet and did well in the shot and discus, 5th in each. He and three other boys put a 4 x 100 relay team together for the meet. It ended up they got the wrong relay and were in the 4 x 400. Bridger was the second leg. His teammate managed to get them in last place. Bridger told me he wanted to catch up and thought to himself, "heck with pacing I am just going to sprint it." He surprised himself and was able to keep the pace for the whole 400. He passed two kids moving them up to 4th. They ended up 5th. He has had indoor practice this week due to the snow. We are all doing well here.
"You're 5 foot nothin', 100 and nothin', and you have barely a speck of
athletic ability. And you hung in there with the best college football
players in the land for 2 years. And you're gonna walk outta here with a
degree from the University of Notre Dame."
