The legends warming up.
Post game, 12 of these guys are in the hall of fame.
Chiefs convention, Chief 12 and Chief 12-3.
Our seats are at the top of the stadium.
Me and my son enjoying hockey at a ballpark.

I forgot to post that our hockey team got 3rd at state.  We have one more tournament in MT next weekend and the season is over.  I have my defenseman of the year and forward of the year at the hockey game with me.  We had a blast last night with all of the legends of the game.  I had to give a history lesson of the players playing.  Lemieux who hit Draper to start the rivalry and McCarty who got the payback on Lemieux.  Along with Chelios, Yzerman, Lindstrom.  It was a blast.  We have the regular game tonight which will be much faster and harder hitting.  We are having a nice father/son trip but as always miss the mamma unit.

National Honor Society

Bridger and his proud Mama.
With his certificate.

Bridger got inducted into the National Junior Honor Society last night.  We were very proud of him.  He works hard to keep his grades up.  I did not realize how much community work he has done until we were filling out his application.  Most of it is through the fire department.  He looked real sharp all dressed up with his tie and sports coat.  It was a nice ceremony, short and to the point.

We have state hockey starting tonight.  I hope that his knee holds.  He is pretty excited.

Denver Hockey

Taking a big shot from the point.

Ready for his next shift.
Starting D.
Our boy ready to play some hockey.

Bridger played in two tournaments this past weekend.  His Team Wyoming team did not have a good tournament.  Our Casper team did.  We went undefeated in seed play but then lost in the semis and ended up 3rd.  We had the team to win it all but got out played on Monday.  Bridger was very upset because most of the kids did not skate hard.  He played injured.  On Sunday's game he supermaned out to block a goal but his momentum took him into the boards hard.  His knee swelled up almost immediately.  So he played injured on Monday and skated harder than the healthy players.  It is still bothering him and we have state starting Friday.  We definitely need him.

End of Regular Season

Our big defenseman almost had a hat trick this past weekend.
Holding the blue line.
He was exhausted after the last game.
We have tickets to the outdoor hockey game at Coors Field.

We finished our regular season with 4 wins over the weekend.  It put us into 2nd place in the overall standings.  We have state in two weeks.  This weekend will be busy for Bridger.  He is playing in two tournaments, one in Littleton (with Team Wyoming) and one in Arvada (with my Oilers).  I am sure he will be tuckered out by Monday.

Proud of Our Boy

Bridger looking sharp.
Waiting to rebound a free throw.
hustling on D.

Bridger had his last two regular season basketball games cancelled due to weather.  He starts city tournament on Monday.  Bridger also had his induction ceremony for National Honor Society cancelled.  I think Ginni was more disappointed.  We are very proud of him for that accomplishment.  On top of that he made student of the month at Dean Morgan.  Ginni and I were both able to attend the lunch with him as many of you probably saw on facebook.  We are so proud of our son.

Busy weekend again.  We play two games at home on Friday and Saturday.  Then head to Gillette for two games Saturday and Sunday.  Then make it home to relax and watch the Superbowl at home.
