Day 2, 68 degrees

This is looking down at Steamboat.

Ginni making it down the slopes.

Lunch break.

Bridger and I hit the double black.

Bridger paused for a picture before dumping into the trees.

It was a little icy so Bridger took it easy.

We had another beautiful day.  It was a high of 68 degrees.  It is like we have two spring breaks, snow and sun.  We have to time it right for good skiing.  About 10 am the snow starts to get soft and then by 3pm it is slush.  We hit Christmas Tree Bowl at about 1:45, perfect timing.  We are enjoying life.

Spring Break

The sun was shining bright.

Bridger at the top.

Just kicking back.

Bridger enjoying the view.

Taking a break on mid mountain to soak up some rays.

Back down at the base fore lunch.

We are spending spring break at Steamboat.  Today was our first day.  The snow conditions are not very good with the temperatures so high.  We are still having fun getting some skiing in.  I hope everyone is having a good start to the week.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Mommy/Ginni, we love you sooo much!

"You say it's your birthday
It's my birthday too"

It Is Friday

When you are a firefighter you still get kid cakes.
I got to do the pack test for my birthday.  It was cold and snowing at times.
Bridger's last basketball game.  Wide open under the hoop.
This is a team picture of both Dean Morgan teams.  They played each other for the last game.

I had a nice birthday despite having to work.  Ginni ordered Olive Garden lasagna and had it at the station for us when we got done with our pack test.  The guys enjoyed my birthday perk.  I got a badminton set for a present which is funny because that is what Bridger has been asking for.

Tomorrow is Ginni's day.  I have fire department training so she is going to have a Mother / Son day.  It is suppose to be in the 70's so it will be a nice to be outside.

I hope everyone is doing well.

"Well, uh, these are for my sister, for her birthday, see, and uh, as she's only gonna be eleven, I, I wouldn't want a pair of birds that were... too demonstrative."

Black Shorts Red Stripe

Bridger moving up the court.
Getting ready to run the play.
Avoiding the pile up.
Taking his position on the key.
This is my B-Shift duty shirt.  Rob's LODD was 9 years ago last Sunday.

Bridger has his last basketball game tonight.  It is against the other Dean Morgan team.  Last night they played the CCA team or as Bridger calls them, the nerds.  Bridger's team won big again.  Bridger had a good game.   It is fun to watch him move up and down the floor.  His rebounding skills are outstanding.  He uses his big wing span to grab the ball and pulls in it close just like he has been playing for years.

We actually got a little snow on the mountain last night and are suppose to get more tonight. The forecast is a high of 43 tomorrow.  With all this nice weather that seems cold.  I hope everyone is having a nice week.

"Attention. Bus for the Camp Mohawk basketball game leaving in 15 minutes, and there is a very fat pair of pants hanging on the flagpole this morning."

The Lake

Bridger helping me with the lift.
You can see how low the water is now.
Bridger enjoying the view.
This is what a bored boy does at Menards.

It was another nice day in Casper.  We headed down to Alcova to work on the boat lift.  We only have a few more weeks to work on it before they start filling the reservoir. Bridger was helping me by climbing on the lift and using it as a swing.  As nice as it has been the past few days it feels like boating season.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Golf in March

Bridger dressed up for his first dance.
After his dance we went to Fire Rock for dinner.  He is looking cool waiting for our table.
Bridger had golf lessons in the morning.
We then played a round.
 A nice chip shot.
We were going to go skiing but as you can see the mountain is getting thin on snow.

Bridger said he had a fun time at his dance.  He danced a couple of times with the girl he was going to meet there.  He said she did not want to dance so he just went out and joined other girls to dance with.  I am glad he got out and had fun and not just sit and watch.

Ginni had to work so Bridger and I headed out to the Country Club.  It was a beautiful day, about 65 degrees.  We had fun despite the wind picking up.  I am not sure what is on for tomorrow but I bet we have fun.

Hockey Helps the Hungry

This was our fire crew.  Bridger is by me behind the firefighter in the shirt.
These are the U8's that we played.
Searching for a little kid to hit.
Bridger trying not to get taken out by a firefighter going down.

We had a great turnout for the hockey game again this year.  We actually had a bigger crowd for our game than the NC / KW game after.  My guys had a blast and entertained the crowd with their non skating abilities.  Bridger was having fun taking the puck and swerving through all of the U8's watching them try to catch him.  We got over a 1000 lbs of food and $2000 for the Salvation Army.

Bridger had a full day.  He had basketball before the hockey game.  Ginni was texting me updates.  Bridger played great defense and scored his first basket on a rebound put back.  We were very happy for him.  Tonight he has his first school dance.  He is very excited.  He is going with a girl.  He informed me that they were just friends and not dating.  Ginni wants to sneak in and take pictures.

Happy Friday.
