April Showers

Bridger had to walk home in the snow yesterday.
He decided to make the most of it.
Nice snowflake catching form.

It has snowed off and on for the past three days.  We woke up with snow on the ground again this morning.  The good new is that it is suppose to be in the 70's this weekend.

Bridger made it back to tennis again yesterday.  He was excited because of all the high school girls were there due to their practice being cancelled.  He is starting to get his form back.

I hope everyone is having a nice week.  Welcome back to Wyoming Jampa.

Monday

Bridger had an FCA hockey clinic and got a jersey.

Never to old to play in a big box.

The weekend seemed to fly by.  We did get some yard work done and branches hauled to the landfill while the weather was still nice.  Bridger had a hockey clinic and then spent the night with Treyson.  They decided to do an "all nighter"  which resulted in Bridger being completely exhausted on Sunday.  I don't think Ginni will allow that to happen again.

On Sunday the gaskets in our washing machine decided to blow and we had water everywhere.  We got it cleaned up and got the Sunday flyers back out to look for sales.  Ginni bought one this morning and I picked it up after school. Bridger enjoyed playing in the box with Shasta while I hooked it up.  I have the first load going right know.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend.  We are still waiting for spring here.

"Hey, you know a guy around here with a piss yellow deuce coupe, supposed to be hot stuff? "

It's the Fuzz, Run!

The police made another visit to the Twins house.

They passed Bridger on the way so he hightailed it home.

Escaping to the safety of the garage.

With more confidence and his helmet he cruised past the patrol car.

Bridger asked if he could go for an evening bike ride around the block.  He headed out but soon called me on his cell phone.  He told me that there was a cop in the neighborhood and he thought they were after him.  When I asked why he thought that he told me that they saw him texting and biking without a helmet.  I told him to come home and get his helmet and not to worry it was the Twins.

It has been a long week thank goodness it is finally Friday tomorrow.

" I'll go. "

Happy Easter

Bridger making Easter eggs.

He did not like me looking over his shoulder.

Just having fun.

Ginni joined the activities.

Bridger also made some wrapped eggs.

Being careful with boiling water.

We had a nice weekend at the Boat.  We did get a little bit of work done.  Bridger had a fun time decorating eggs.  It was a beautiful spring weekend.  Unfortunately we spent todays 70 degree weather looking through a windshield.  But we were together as a family on Easter.

I hope that everyone had a nice Easter.

Saturday Fun

Bridger enjoying a BLT on our porch.

Ginni and Bridger at the Easter festivities.

Mayhem.

Bridger enjoying the activities.

Getting some eggs.

After the main egg hunt and bike give away a helicopter dropped more eggs with prizes.

We went into town today so Bridger could attend an Easter egg hunt.  It was actually a festival with music, bounce houses, face painting etc. all for free.  It is put on by one of the local churches along with some businesses for the community.  After the egg hunt they gave away 80 new bicycles.  Bridger did not win one.  They ended the festival with a helicopter dropping eggs (plastic, real ones would have been great) with 10 golden tickets for more prizes.  It was a beautiful spring day to hang out with the family.

I hope everyone had a nice Saturday.

"You know... I'll bet those Golden Tickets make the chocolate taste terrible. "

Friday at the Boat

It was a bright sunny morning today.

Bridger made it back tennis this week, with a brace.

He was a little rusty.

We went to a fundraiser in Casper at a pizza place and this was on their napkins.

We had a long week and decided to head south for Easter.  It was a beautiful day today, 70 degrees.  We got a little work done but not as much as planned.  Maybe tomorrow.  Ginni found an Easter egg hunt at one of the Churches in town for Bridger.  It is scheduled to be nice weather again.

I hope everyone had a nice Friday.

PE Club Archery

Bridger has nice technique.  Sammy is on the end in red.
He is pointing to we're his 4th arrow was.  Nice grouping and bullseye.  They put a balloon on the target and Bridger popped it also.
This is something I do every year, bench 10 times my age.  It was heavy.
This is the card Bridger got from the kids in his tennis class.  He was very touched by it.
Ginni got these flowers from my math department.  Bridger answered the door and came and got me.  He said, "Dad, some is at the door trying to sell flowers."

Ginni is doing a lot better.  She had a little bit of a headache yesterday morning but soon went away.  We even went out to eat with the Meline women after archery.

Yesterday was a beautiful day and today is a high of 32 and snowing.  I am in class right now but I think it is a good day to stay home and watch a movie.  I think that might be Ginni and Bridger's plan.  I hope everyone is having a nice weekend.  We will keep you all informed on how things are going here.

Little Fighter X 2

Bridger has gotten into sparing.

Of course it is with me and his jab is a bit stronger than it use to be.

This is our helmet for next season.  Shiny.

Ginni had her second surgery today.  The surgery went good but the drugs made her quite sick this time.  I had a wildland urban interface training that I was scheduled to go to with the BLM but told them I need to stay home and take care of Ginni.  I will attend tomorrows class if she is feeling better.

Bridger's knee is starting to heal but he is still wearing a brace.  It seems like every time it starts to feel good he re-injures it.  It is not easy keeping a 10 year old tethered down, but it is a good thing that he is so active.

Ginni thanks everyone for thinking of her.

" I'm thirty years older than you are. I had my back broke once, and my hip twice. And on my worst day I could beat the hell out of you."

50 Degrees, Spring is Here, Maybe

Time to play catch.

Getting loose.

He caught the pop fly.

Might as well get the archery equipment out also.

We have had a couple of days in the 50's.  We got out in the back yard and enjoyed the nice weather.  I tried to get Bridger to go to the driving range yesterday but his knee was hurting.  The forecast is 65 tomorrow and 70 Wednesday.  Then another snow storm later in the week.  Gotta love Wyoming.

I hope everyone is doing well.  Spring might finally get here.

Band Concert

On stage at NC.  This is a great historical stage that he got to be on.
Bridger in blue.
All of the pictures were blurry with him playing.
Patiently waiting.  Don't worry he is not sitting in the haunted seat.

Bridger had his 5th grade city wide band concert yesterday.  They performed at NC.  I was able to go down and watch the afternoon performance.  Ginni made the evening one but I had a hockey board meeting so could only attend the one.  He did really good.  I am very proud of how well he can play the trumpet.

It is looking like we might have a nice weather weekend.  I hope everyone is doing well.

Captain America

Trying not to smile.
The serious look.
View of the shorts and socks.
The not so serious look.

It was dress up like a superhero day at Bridger's school yesterday.  He wanted to go as the Hulk but we could not find any clothing.  He decided he wanted to be Captain America when he found this three piece outfit.

Spring sure is having a hard time getting here.  We have had snow the past three days.  The temperatures have got into the mid forties so the snow has melted by afternoon.  At least it has been warm enough the sidewalks are not icy.  Bridger would have a hard time with his knee being messed up.

Happy April everyone.

"You've been asleep, Cap. For almost 70 years."
