Bridger on the Dam.

The water is flowing.  It is predicted to spill over within the next couple of weeks.

The mosquitoes are out.

This was Mom's favorite bush in our back yard.

Bridger and I went down to check our boat lift Sunday.  We then headed over to Pathfinder to check out the water level.  As you can see in the first picture it was not very warm.  The water is about 6 inches away from spilling over the top.  

Bridger had a baseball game last night.  I missed it due to fire.  He pitched three innings and got the win.  Ginni said he played well.  He has another game tonight.  I guess the good news with this weather is that the bugs are not really bad yet.  But obviously one found Bridger.

"Welcome everyone. I am your dam guide, Arnie. Now I'm about to take you through a fully funtional power plant, so please, no one wander off the dam tour and please take all the dam pictures you want. Now are there any dam questions?"

He was excited to get to wear a Cubbies uniform.

Bridger had a good opening day even with a 4 - 16 loss.  He had fun despite it being 38 degrees for his first game.  It was not very comfortable for the fans.  Bridger got called and asked if he could be a substitute for a 5A team (he is 3A) which he was excited about.  They put him in left field but he did not get any action so it was a boring game in the field.  He played 1st base for his team which helped stay warm in the first game.  It was very nice to have Jampa over for the weekend.  Bridger really enjoyed having him at his games.  Tonight's games are cancelled due to the weather.

Last Track Meet

Oops, the sequences are out of order.  It was at least a nice day for his track meet.  Bridger did not do as good as he hoped but had a good showing.  He had a good season even though they only had three meets.  One sport into the next for him.  Opening day of baseball is tomorrow.  Bridger is pretty excited that Jampa made it over to watch him play.  He often picks up Jampa's old bats and swings them.

We had a nice day after Bridger's track meet so we headed to the ball park.  It does have a pitching screen but it is still nerve racking when he drills one back at me.  He was hitting the ball well and will hopefully have the bat gods with him for opening day on Saturday.

Bridger was selected to compete in the best of the best meet yesterday.  They took the top two in each event from each school.  Bridger has never competed in long jump but was selected based on practice.  He would have liked to been in the shot and discus which looking at distances he should have been.  He ended up 12th in long jump.  There were more than 10 teams at the meet.  He has his last meet of the season on Thursday.  He just keeps growing and getting stronger.  Ginni and I are very proud of him.

Happy Mother's Day

It has been a rainy Mother's Day weekend here.  We have been having flooding all over the state.  My crew was out sandbagging on the Platte yesterday.  Bridger finally has a track meet tomorrow and the weather is suppose to be nice.  It will be his second meet all season.  It is a best of the best meet and he qualified in the long jump.  I think I will take the day off to watch him.

"Oh, no. Elastigirl? You married Elastigirl? Ho, ho, ho... Oh - and got biz-zay! It's a whole family of supers! Looks like I hit the jackpot! Oh, this is just too good!"

Is It Spring Yet?

With another snow storm I had time to work on Bridger's souvenir plaque.

Sunday it finally warmed up enough to play outside.

Bridger is ready for baseball season.

We had a pretty white April.  This week is finally starting to warm up, in the 60's today.  Bridger had his first baseball practice last night.  He got put on a team that might not do so well this season.  Bridger will definately be a standout.  He has two track meets left for the season.  With the weather he has only competed in one so not much of a track season this year.  I can not believe his is going to be a teenager this month.

I hope everyone is having better spring weather.
